fingerprints are a collection of digital art prints and
digital expressions created by fine artists who have
migrated to the digital domain.

Two such artists' digital works are presented here.

Jyoti Bhatt: painter,photographer and printmaker and digital artist.

A senior painter, printmaker, photographer and a researcher of folk & tribal art in India, Jyoti Bhatt has the humility of a perennial beginner, a 'sadhana' that makes his art a spiritual pilgrimage. Jyoti Bhatt has taught painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda.

Amitabh Gandhi: graphic designer and digital artist.

Amitabh Gandhi, has walked many tracks: a stint at architecture, at the CEPT, Ahmedabad, Graphic Design at NID, Ahmedabad, and Broadcasting from the Xavier's Institute of Mass Communication, Mumbai. Amitabh has worked as Art Director with advertising agencies in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi …and meanwhile passionately scavenging collectibles.

He has several solo and group shows to his credit both in India and abroad. He has participated in International Print Bienniales in Italy, Poland, Japan, Yugoslavia and Germany and has been the recipient of State, National and International awards. The founder member of ARTunderground, a gallery exclusively devoted to digital art, Amitabh pioneered a movement, which had few takers in 1997. He believes that the digital medium is the 'folk art of our millennium'.
